RemitMantra Comparator App

Bringing Transparency to Global Money Transfers
In the fragmented world of cross-border payments, individuals and businesses face a complex web of remittance providers, fluctuating exchange rates, hidden fees, and inconsistent settlement times. The challenge is not just in sending money abroad but in choosing the most efficient and cost-effective way to do so. We partnered with RemitMantra to design and build a full-stack solution that addresses this gap — an intelligent remittance comparison platform that empowers users with real-time insights into the best available transfer options. This was not a simple aggregator; it required building an end-to-end system capable of ingesting live data from regulated financial institutions and fintech APIs, processing it accurately under latency constraints, and presenting it through an intuitive interface optimised for speed, clarity and trust. Traditional approaches either lacked neutrality (being tied to specific providers), failed on real-time accuracy (relying on cached or outdated quotes), or presented overly technical interfaces unsuitable for mainstream users. RemitMantra had to overcome these limitations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards around data handling and financial disclosures.
A Neutral Engine Built for Speed, Accuracy, and Clarity
RemitMantra was architected as a browser-based platform powered by a modular backend system designed for high-frequency quote aggregation. At its core is a comparison engine that connects securely with APIs from RBI-authorised banks and licensed remittance providers, fetching exchange rates, fees, margin breakdowns, settlement durations, and provider metadata. The frontend was built using responsive web technologies with progressive enhancement, ensuring optimal usability across desktop and mobile without requiring sign-up. Users input their send/receive currencies and amount; within seconds they receive a ranked list of provider options based on total cost, time to settle, partner credibility, and other decision criteria. AI-assisted ranking adapts to user priorities — speed-sensitive business payments or cost-sensitive personal transfers. Real-time data normalisation handles varied formats across provider APIs, caching strategies ensure performance without sacrificing freshness, and failover mechanisms maintain uptime. The outcome is a scalable platform that delivers up to 80% reduction in research time, average savings of 2–5% per transaction, increased trust via transparent disclosures, and high engagement driven by sub-second median query latency.
